Applies to CRUST and to dotmixgames.com · Effective 24 September 2026

Dotmix Games is a one-person studio run by Dotan Roitman. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what CRUST records and where it goes. It is short because the game collects very little.

The summary: CRUST collects anonymous gameplay statistics — how far you got, what you picked up, what killed you — tagged with a random ID for your installation of the game, and a record of whether you have bought the full-tower unlock. You can switch this off at any time. It does not collect your name, email, account, hardware identifiers, advertising ID, location, contacts, your photos, or your files, and it never sees your payment details. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics SDKs. The game is fully playable offline.

What CRUST records

At the end of a run — and when you pause — the game assembles a report of that playthrough. It contains only gameplay values:

The run identifier is generated fresh for each playthrough. It groups the several reports of a single run together.

The game also records each play session: when the game was opened, how long it stayed open, how many runs were started, the game version, and the platform.

The installation ID

The first time CRUST runs, it creates a random identifier and stores it in the game's own storage. It is attached to run reports, session records and purchase events (below) so that we can count how many installations are playing rather than just how many runs happened. It is not a hardware identifier or an advertising ID, it is not linked to your name, email or Google account, and it is not shared with anyone. It survives game updates and is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its data; a reinstall gets a new one.

Purchases

On Android, floors 1–4 are free and the rest of the tower is a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we never receive your card or payment details, your Google account, or Play's order number. The game records the steps of the unlock — reaching the locked door, opening the offer, and whether a purchase succeeded, failed or was cancelled — along with the price shown and whether the unlock is owned. This is used only to understand how the unlock performs.

What CRUST does not record

Where it goes

On your device, always. Every report is written to the game's own private storage first. This file never leaves your device unless you send it yourself.

To a private database, when a connection is available. Reports are also sent to a database hosted on Supabase, used solely to tune the game and understand how it is played. If you are offline or the server is unreachable, the game continues normally; session records and purchase events wait on your device and are sent the next time a connection is available.

Your choice

The pause menu has a Share anonymous play data setting. When it is off, run reports, session records and purchase events are not sent; they stay on your device only.

Bug reports

The pause menu's Report a problem screen sends a report only when you tap Send. It shows you everything it will send first: your note, some game context, and — unless you untick it — a screenshot of the game screen. Reports are used only to fix problems and are not tied to the installation ID.

As with any internet request, the receiving server observes the originating IP address at the moment of the connection. This is inherent to how the internet works rather than something the game collects, and IP addresses are not stored in the run data or used to identify players.

Playing offline

CRUST is designed to be played offline and every feature works with no connection. When the game says it plays offline, that is a statement about playability — it does not mean the game never contacts the network. When a connection is present, run reports are sent as described above.

Why this data is collected

Solely to make the game better. A one-person studio cannot playtest nine floors across every combination of items and weapons; the run reports show where difficulty spikes, which items are overpowered, and where players are getting stuck. The data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party, and it is not used to profile or target anyone.

Who can access it

Only Dotan Roitman. Supabase acts as the hosting provider and processes the data on our behalf under its own security and privacy terms. No other person or company has access.

How long it is kept

Run reports are retained while they remain useful for balancing, and are deleted when no longer needed. The copy stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the game.

Children

CRUST is not directed at children. It contains cartoon violence and comedic horror, and is rated accordingly on each store. No personal information is collected, and no data is knowingly collected from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data held about you. CRUST holds no name, email or account for you, so we cannot look up which records are yours. You can stop future sending at any time with the Share anonymous play data setting, and uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes the installation ID, so nothing sent afterwards can be connected to earlier records. If you have a question or request, get in touch and we will help where we can.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts collecting anything not described here, this page will be updated and the effective date changed before that version ships.
